Remote roles across the EU in quantitative UX research, insights and customer research

I studied psychology in the United States, then moved to Europe for two master's degrees — intercultural psychology at Osnabrück, economic psychology at Tilburg. The combination turned out to be a better preparation for tech research than it sounds: one half is measurement and method, the other is how people actually decide things, which is rarely how they say they decide things.

Since 2018 I've done research inside European companies with very large customer bases — language learning at Babbel, business banking at Penta and Qonto, machine translation at DeepL, and now fibre infrastructure at Deutsche Glasfaser. Different products, but the same underlying problem each time: a customer base far too large to interview your way through, generating volumes of feedback nobody has time to read.

That constraint is what pushed me from surveys into text. If the answer is sitting in forty thousand support tickets in nine languages, the useful skill isn't running another study — it's building something that can read all of it, reliably, and keep reading it next quarter.

The work I care about is foundational. Segmentation, customer understanding, the questions that determine what gets built. I'm less interested in tactical measurement and experiment plumbing — other people are better at that than I am, and enjoy it more.

I'm looking for a remote role with a team in the EU where research informs direction rather than decorating decisions already made. If that's what you're building, I'd like to talk.
